Student Health

Heritage Hall has a registered nurse responsible for addressing the health needs of students and enhancing the educational process by promoting an environment of optimal wellness at the school.  Our goal is to partner with parents and caretakers to provide excellent care of our students.

Should your child need specialized health care while in school, please contact the nurse, Katie Smith, so a health plan can be in place as soon as possible.

If it is necessary for a student to take medication during the school day, a Parent/Guardian Request for Medication Administration must be completed and on file with the school nurse.  The name of the medication as well as dosage instructions from a physician are also required.  The school nurse will be responsible for dispensing medication at the appropriate times.

Every year, when flu season hits, we remind students, parents, faculty, and staff of the importance of taking preventive measures.  Please review the flu season preparedness letter; it explains the school’s efforts to minimize the spread of the flu virus at school and outlines ways in which parents should prepare and respond if a child becomes ill.
