The Counselor's Role
College advising occurs both formally and informally at Heritage Hall. Counselors work with students and their parents through group and individual advising sessions. Evening workshops and a general "College Information Guide" complement the informational meetings scheduled during the school day. Heritage Hall and Casady take turns hosting the Great Plains Association of College Admissions Counselors' "College Affaire."
Our Goal: To make students and parents aware of the wide range of college choices available and to help students narrow the field, finding the right college for their individual needs, and work through the application process.
The College Advising Process
Starting their sophomore year, students will formally begin the college preparation process starting with the PSAT. As they move forward into their junior and senior years, the process evolves and incorporates many different resources and tasks. For details, please visit the pages below devoted to each of these years.
