Heritage Hall Honors Faculty, Staff

On Wednesday, August 11, Heritage Hall welcomed back faculty and staff with its annual Faculty Recognition Luncheon sponsored by the School’s Board of Trustees. The event honors endowed chair recipients and distinguished faculty and celebrates employees entering milestone years of service.

Endowed chairs are intended to provide special recognition to the individual to whom the title is awarded. Each chair comes with a two-year term. During this year’s ceremony, three new faculty members were announced as recipients.

Lower School P.E. Teacher Darcey McRay

“It is an honor to receive this award. I am blessed beyond measure to work in such a positive, fun environment with a group of amazing colleagues. We bring out the best in one another.”

Middle School Science Teacher Jamie Ashburn
Boghetich Prize for Excellence in Teaching – Middle School
“I am shocked and humbled! So proud to be a part of the Charger family, and excited for another year with the best students and faculty.”

Upper School Science Teacher Mark Rauch
Boghetich Prize for Excellence in Teaching – Upper School
"Because so many of my colleagues are excellent teachers whom I respect and wish I could be more like, it was a complete honor and surprise to receive this award. Also, the fact that the award was made possible by yet another generous donation from the Boghetich family, who has already done so much for Heritage Hall, gives it special meaning. I have taught at several schools and none of them gave teachers the kind of recognition and thanks we receive from the Heritage Hall community. I appreciate our generous patrons, board of trustees, and administration for making it possible."
