Grounds Keeper

Position Description: Heritage Hall, an independent school in northwest Oklahoma City, is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper.

The Groundskeeper is responsible for a variety of tasks related to grounds and athletic field maintenance. These include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist the Sports Turf Superintendent with field prep for all outdoor athletic events.
  • Next day clean up of athletic surfaces.
  • Daily preparation of fields for athletic practices and scrimmages.
  • Daily maintenance of off-season playing surfaces.
Working Conditions and Requirements
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficient in the use and operation of heavy equipment – including a mower and tractor – and other groundskeeping tools.
  • Physical work requiring ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Work involves exposure to outdoor elements.
  • Strong work ethic and dependability.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Able to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with spray application a plus.
