Have You Thanked Your School Counselor Lately?

School counselors play an important role at Heritage Hall. Whether helping students to resolve challenges or to choose the right college, our counselors are vital to overall student success.

National School Counseling Week (February 3-7) highlights the unique contribution of professional school counselors. Heritage Hall is fortunate to have a comprehensive school counseling program led by an esteemed group of certified/licensed educators who help students succeed in many ways, including:

  • Guiding students toward career awareness and development through the exploration of their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents
  • Assisting parents to further the educational, personal, and social growth of their children
  • Collaborating with teachers and other educators to help students set realistic goals for themselves
  • Using community resources to complement school counseling programs and help students to become productive members of society
  • Reducing barriers to learning by addressing students’ academic concerns, post-secondary options, and social/emotional skills
  • Facilitating the social and emotional learning of all students

Please join us this week in showing your appreciation to Heritage Hall’s counseling team:
  • Counselors: Samantha Kobs (US), Nina McPherson (MS), and Allison Morris (LS)
  • US Academic Counselors: Dylan Sullivan and Christina Boghetich ’08
  • US College Counselors: Dr. Vicki Schaeffer and Julie Bramble

National School Counseling Week is sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). For more information, visit heritagehall.com/schoolcounselor.
