The Curtain Rises on 2022-23 Performing Arts Season

On September 23, Heritage Hall performing arts opened its season with the stage adaptation of Footloose, a musical based on the 1984 film of the same name. According to Fine Arts Department Chair Jay Ferguson ’96, “Footloose is loosely based on a real story that took place in Elmore City, Oklahoma.”
As part of the opening night festivities, the performing arts department, in partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, aimed to help provide food security for others by hosting a food drive. Theatre attendees were encouraged to bring canned and other non-perishable food donations. Both the show and drive were tremendously successful.
This year’s productions include the creepy Fall Revue: Thriller, magical Peter Pan, and delightful Seussical, Jr., along with multiple Middle and Upper School choral and instrumental concerts and Lower School music programs.
