Frequently Asked Questions

List of 6 frequently asked questions.

  • What are the Family Olympics?

Heritage Hall’s Family Olympics event is this year’s primary fundraiser to benefit Heritage Hall’s gold-medal faculty and staff through teacher endowments and bonuses. Most patrons are familiar with the Heart of Gold gala, a more formal, adults-only benefit. This year, we’re supporting our faculty and staff in a casual, family-friend atmosphere with competitions and fun-focused activities for everyone!
  • How can I participate financially?

Become an event sponsor, register to participate, register to be a spectator, and purchase food or merch at the event!  With a variety of sponsorship levels, decide what works best for you -- you can even promote your business or family while receiving a tax deduction for providing the event’s funding.
  • How is the Family Olympics different from the Middle School Olympics?

Middle School Olympics has been a time-honored tradition for 5th - 8th graders for decades. But why should middle schoolers have all the fun? HH Family Olympics is an event for the whole family to enjoy while supporting Heritage Hall’s faculty and staff.
  • What are the events?

Individual medal competitions include home run derby, soccer shootout, football pass/kick, basketball free-throw, standing long jump, and 400-meter run.

Family medal competitions include sack race, tug of war, and egg toss.

Additional games and activities will be stationed throughout the event to provide fun between your events or for spectators.
  • How many events can I participate in?

Each Charger Olympian will be able to participate in up to four (4) individual medal events, plus any family medal event. Participants will be contacted to make and confirm event selections at a later date.

Spectators can watch the Olympians compete and can also participate in the games and activity stations.
  • Does everyone in my family have to participate?

If you have a family, you have a team! The number of participants on your team (your immediate family) can be determined by you. Your team might choose to participate as spectators -- great! Or your team may want to settle an old score with an egg toss grudge match or the soccer shootout! Either way, sign up those who can come!
