Nancy Kathryn Garland '78 passed away in Dallas, TX on December 6, 2015. She was born to Jack and Rosalind Garland on December 10, 1959. She attended Heritage Hall and OU. Nancy was baptized and attended First Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. She is survived by daughters Lauren Pralle and Natalie Beavers & husband Matt; sisters Linda Singletary and Terry McAuliff & husband John; nieces Michelle McAuliff, Julie Snowder, husband Jody & sons Logan and Nicholas, Sherri Singletary & son John; uncle Bill Estes, wife Carmen & sons Andrew and Matthew. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Fred Garland. She battled her illnesses with great courage and charm and never met a stranger that she didn't try to help, love and care for, never expected anything in return. Nancy leaves with us her legacy of compassion and grace. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, December 17, 4pm at 3237 Red Rock Road, 73120. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mental Health Association of Oklahoma.
