Debbie Harden Magness '72

Debbie Harden Magness, class of 1972, passed away on July 10, 2015 in a car accident on Turner Turnpike near Wellston.
When Debbie was born, the collective intelligence, beauty and joy of the world was immediately lifted. Her parents, James D. Harden and Erleen Jones Hefner, raised their family in Oklahoma City. Debbie graduated from Heritage Hall in 1972 and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Oklahoma as a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and later began her career in real estate. On June 25, 1977, Debbie pledged her heart to Ross Wayne Magness, thereafter, they built a life together, homes, and most importantly, a strong family. She was the awesomest mom in the world who loved lake trips with family, taking walks with her dog Ellie, and paddle boarding. She was a woman of God who loved her Lord most of all, and her complete life's mission was bringing others to know him. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, David Harden. She is survived by her husband, Ross; children, Micah & wife Tiffany Magness, Keithlee and husband Russ Logan, Hunter Magness, Colbie and husband Pope Van Cleef, and Blakeley Magness; grandchildren, Jackson Magness, Leighton Logan, Mason Magness, Pope Van Cleef IV, and Everley Logan; sister, Diane Davis Harden; brother, William Johnson Hefner Jr.; sister-in-law, Jan Clements; nephews, David and Scott Harden; nieces, Ashley Simpson and Whitney Davis Mathews; her dearest friends, Jenny and Ricky Dunning and Cathy Jo Wicks; and a host of many. She was loved by everyone who knew her, and her memory will be in our hearts forever. Services to celebrate her life will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 222 N.W. 15th Street.
