John Morris Bentley, of Oklahoma City, OK, was born September 20, 1955 and died of complications from diabetes, which he battled for 45 years, on March 18, 2009.
John Morris Bentley, of Oklahoma City, OK, was born September 20, 1955 and died of complications from diabetes, which he battled for 45 years, on March 18, 2009. John is survived by his parents, John and Mary Bentley of Oklahoma City his wife, Kathy his daughters, Lindsey, Rachel, Abby and Madeline and his "other girls", pets Ginger, Penny and Emma. John was an amazing human being, and entrepreneur, talented musician and songwriter. A fact unknown to many, he played and composed music with a host of notable musicians such as Dan Fogelberg and Al Jarreau. All who loved John celebrated his shunning the constraints of political correctness and his irascible nature. His sharp wit, easy smile, humor, kindness and generosity will be greatly missed. John adored all the girls in his life, and he graciously mentored them and their friends with love and affection. John also utilized his artistic talents in his successful retail furniture and auction businesses, and, over the years, designed many rooms for his clients. John's life will be celebrated Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, 1401 NW 23 St., Oklahoma City, OK.
