Welcome to The Hall

On Wednesday, August 11, Heritage Hall President Aaron L. Fetrow and Heritage Hall Board of Trustees President Hilary Allen joined the Admission office in hosting a welcome dinner for new patrons. Started in 2013, the event provides a fun and celebratory atmosphere in which new patrons can meet other new families, school administrators, teachers, and trustees.

“The New Patron Dinner is a yearly highlight as it provides us the perfect setting to welcome new patrons and introduce them to other members of our community. As always, we want to ease families’ transitions into our school while reinforcing their confidence in choosing to enroll at Heritage Hall,” explained Admission Director Elizabeth Gillum.

Following welcome presentations by Gillum and a champagne toast by Headmaster Nick Carter, guests enjoyed dinner catered by Venue and dessert cakes from OKC Sweets. Speakers included Allen, HHSPA President Courtney King, and school President Aaron L. Fetrow. Upper School Music Director David Hillis provided musical entertainment throughout the evening, which also included a special rendition of the national anthem by Maya Banks ’20, Esther Banks ’23, and Amber Banks ’26, as well as an appearance by the School mascot Lightning.

Attending the event for the first time as a new school administrator and a new patron himself, Fetrow commented, “It is hard to convey the emotions experienced by all in attendance. The anticipation and excitement of our new Charger families was palpable. I am so grateful that Jodi and I could share in the experience as new patrons ourselves.”
