Let's go on a sailing adventure to the Caribbean Sea aboard a 52' Catamaran!
Here are some highlights:
Learn how to hoist sails, tie boat knots, drive at the helm, drive a dinghy, read a nautical map, moor, anchor and measure wind
Sleep in boat cabins each night while spending your evenings playing card games, watching sunsets and reading a novel
Perfect your cooking skills with communal cooking duties
Taste caribbean cuisine such as Spiny Lobster, conch, mahi mahi and shrimp
Snorkel on reefs such as Marina Cay, the Caves and the Indians
Walk, workout on or shell hunt on pristine beaches such as Brewers Bay, Cane Garden Bay, Loblolly Beach, and White Bay
Explore the rocks at the Baths National Park (the most photographed spot in the BVIs)
Hike to the summit of Beef Island through a dry tropical forest viewing huge hermit crabs, air plants, turpentine trees, and Loblolly trees.
Learn about the endangered Anegada Iguana and visit an iguana nursey raising these reptiles from eggs on the Island of Anegada
Swim daily from the boat, paddle boats or beaches
Take a half day "Discover Diving" with Dive BVI which include a 30' dive on the RMS Rhone shipwreck
We’re traveling with Mr Toll who has 20+ years of skipper experience on sailing vessels. The boat is a Voyage Catamaran named No Worries with a home base in Sopers Hole (Tortola BVI) and includes
Daily breakfast and dinner (students will have the option to eat one meal on land which will usually be lunch)
5 cabins, each with a queen size bed
24-hour adult supervision (male and female faculty present)
Private group (only HH kids!)
Satellite service for emergency contact, wifi on boat, and 24 hour repair service through Voyage Charters
Anticipated cost is $2,500-$3,000 depending on numbers and travel cost. Deposits for airfare will be due the beginning of October to secure the best airfares (approximately $1,400)
