  • Step 1: Submit an Online Inquiry

    First things first! Create an online inquiry. Please submit an inquiry and consult with an Admissions Representative before submitting your application to learn more about availability in your preferred grade.

  • Step 2: Schedule a Campus Tour

    Once the online inquiry is submitted, a member of our Admission team will contact you to schedule a campus tour and answer any questions.

  • Step 3: Submit an Application Form

    After confirming availability in your desired grade(s), submit an online application. Your username is your email address.

  • Step 4: Admission Testing/Assessments

    Complete any admission testing (Grade 5-12) and grade-level assessments. To register for admission testing, check out our Upcoming Events page for group testing dates and more. Grade-level assessments (PS-Grade 6) are scheduled on an individual basis.

  • Step 5: Schedule a Shadow Day

    Shadow days are scheduled on an individual basis based on the grade level of the applicant.

  • Step 6: Complete Admission Checklist

    Visit myPORTAL to check your student's application status.

  • Step 7: Admission Decision

    After a candidate's application file has been completed, a meeting with the Admission Committee is scheduled. The Admission Committee will render an admission decision.

Recommended Timeline

Heritage Hall operates on a rolling admission schedule with a recommended completion deadline of February 1. The admission sequence shown is typical. There may be circumstances that lend to a different sequence (out-of-town candidates, for example.) Your admission representative is well-equipped to cater to your individual situation.

International Students

Heritage Hall issues I-20's to international students in compliance with SEVIS (Students and Exchange Visitor Information System). Upon acceptance and the receipt of a signed enrollment contract and registration fee, Heritage Hall is certified to provide an F-1 Visa. International students must adhere to the same admission process and are considered under the same qualifications as all other candidates. Currently, the school does not offer a homestay program, and all international students are required to make their own living arrangements.

Wait Pool Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a wait pool and how does it differ from a waitlist?

    Due to strong interest in our community, Heritage Hall consistently receives more applications each year than we have open spaces. Applicants who are accepted by the admission committee for a class that is at capacity will be placed in a wait pool.

    A wait pool is an unranked group of accepted candidates who have completed the admissions process, unlike a traditional waitlist, which is based on numerical order. A wait pool allows the committee to select a candidate who best balances the needs and dynamics of the specific grade.

  • How will I know if my child is accepted from the wait pool?

    If a spot becomes available and your child is selected from the wait pool, we will notify you immediately. If you have not heard from us, your child remains in the wait pool.

  • How can I increase my child’s chances of being selected from the wait pool?

    Additional steps are not needed, as movement within the wait pool depends solely on changes in overall enrollment numbers. When a spot becomes available, the committee reviews all wait pool candidates.

  • If my child has not been accepted out of the wait pool this year, do I need to re-apply?

    Wait pools at Heritage Hall do not roll over from one year to the next. Please contact the Admission Office to request the free reapplication form. An admission representative will reach out to you to discuss which admission items can be waived and those needing to be updated.

  • What is the general timeline for waitpooled candidates?

    The suggested deadline to complete the admission process is February 1st. Rosters are generally finalized on or before May 1st. If a space does not become available by the beginning of the academic school year, the wait pool will close. We recommend checking in with your admission representative for grade-specific timelines.
