Safer School, Stronger Community Campaign

IT'S AN EXCITING TIME TO BE A CHARGER

We are continuing our Charger Community Challenge to strengthen our campus and support a safer, more resilient future for every student.

The new facility is now complete and already benefiting every student and teacher. It includes five additional Lower School classrooms, a spacious music room, an additional competition venue for older athletes, and expanded space for Charger Shine. Most importantly, the building serves as a fully rated EF-5 tornado shelter with room to protect every student, teacher, and staff member at Heritage Hall.

These buildings are more than additions to campus—they are long-term investments in the safety, growth, and well-being of our children.

There is still time to be recognized. Donors who give before March 1, 2026, will have their names included on the donor wall in the gym, honoring the families who helped make this project possible.

  • Safety Supersized

    The 8,000-square-foot storm shelter can protect 1,600 people during severe weather—that’s like fitting the entire population of a small town inside!

  • Heavyweight Champion

    Weighing in at a staggering 3,977,100 pounds (nearly 2,000 tons), the
    structure, including concrete and rebar is the equivalent weight of
    about 331 full-grown elephants!

  • Steel Stronghold

    The steel framing alone weighs roughly 10 times more than what scientists estimate an adult (living) T-Rex dinosaur would have weighed.

  • Fortress Walls

    The 12-inch thick concrete walls are approximately 3 times thicker than a standard residential foundation wall.

  • Security Savvy

    Access control panels on all exterior doors ensure the facility remains secure at all times.

  • Super Scoreboard

    The gymnasium features a massive 180-inch scoreboard—that’s 15 feet across, bigger than many household living room walls!
